Efforts to prepare for climate impacts are increasing – rapidly.

Awareness of – and action on – climate impacts is growing, backed by a rapidly expanding body of observations, scientific studies, and reports demonstrating how our climate is changing and how those changes affect our world.

Across the United States, government agencies at all levels, businesses, tribal communities, and individuals are asking: “What are the likely impacts of climate variability and change?” and “How can we best prepare for these impacts?” Answering these two basic but critical questions lays the groundwork necessary to:

  • reduce the negative consequences associated with climate variability and change;
  • help ensure that organizational and community goals can be achieved in a changing climate; and
  • protect current and future investments in capital, infrastructure, and other assets.

See Partnering with Us for more information on how the Climate Impacts Group can support your adaptation efforts.
