OneNOAA Seminar Series on the 4th National Climate Assessment

Beginning Thursday, July 12 at 12p ET (and occurring weekly at that time through Tuesday, August 28) .  OneNOAA the will be hosting an 8-part suite of talks on different aspects of 4th National Climate Assessment Volume I – the Climate Science Special Report.  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the NCA4!

Upcoming Lecture by Lai-yung (Ruby) Lueng from PNNL on June 13th

Lai-Yung (Ruby) Lueng will be visiting UW from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) this Friday, July 13th. Ruby will present “An overview of the Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM) in Phase 1 and Phase 2”. This lecture will held in ATG  310 from 1:30-2:30 PM. We hope to see you there!

Snover to present at URI’s Metcalf Institute: “How Will We Handle a World with No ‘Normal’?”

CIG’s Director, Amy Snover, will give a lecture at the University of Rhode Island’s Metcalf Institute. The lecture will be held at the University of Rhode Island Bay Campus on Thursday, June 14th at 3:30 PM (EST). Snover will also serve as a climate expert at the Metcalf Institute’s 20th annual Science Immersion Workshop for Journalists.

New Actionable Science Skills-Building Webinar Series

The Northwest Climate Science Center has organized a new Actionable Climate Science Skills-Building Webinar Series. This series is designed to help those engaged in climate science research better understand the range of approaches for developing actionable science. Each webinar will explore ways to support effective collaborations between scientific researchers and natural resource managers. The first webinar will be held on April 3rd, 2018 and will feature Amy Snover & Meade Krosby.
