Water in Umatilla (High School Curriculum)

We worked with high school science teachers in Umatilla, Ore. to develop a two-day unit on water and nitrates in the Lower Umatilla Basin. The curriculum included a mixture of classroom lecture, personal reflection questions and hands-on activities exploring the structure of local aquifers and the use of nitrate test strips.
